Today we got to see our little peanut! He or she was very wiggly and waved "Hi" to us. Everything looks normal and all test were negative. Thank you Jesus!! We are bless and can not wait to meet this little guy or girl. We will know what we are having in a few weeks very excited! Stay tuned!!

Big Sister Sophia!!

We are very excited to announce that we are expecting another baby! We are due August 7th! We feel very blessed and can not wait for the arrival. Sophia is going to be an amazing big sister. She is so gentle and loves all her "babies" so much. It will definitely be a challenge but we are ready and have family close by who are ready and willing to help!

Christmas morning was spent at home and then at my parents house. And then unfortunately at work. It was a good day spent with lots of smiles, good food, and family. My mom made a snow man cake that the kids got to decorate. Sophia was more interested in the frosting!! It was a good Christmas :)

Christmas Eve was a lot of fun; filled with presents and family. Sophia was really into opening the presents which was fun to watch! We set out cookies and milk for Santa and left the reindeer food! And of course wrapped all Sophia's gifts that night. We didn't wrap the Santa gifts. We wanted her to think she was getting gifts from both us and Santa!!

Yo Gabba Gabba Birthday Celebration

This is our second year going to Yo Gabba Gabba Live! We just love it. I really think Mike and I enjoy it more than Sophia!! This year it was on her 2nd birthday which made it even more fun and special. Sophia was very serious and very intent while watching all the characters dance around. In the morning we had family over and had a doughnut party with cousins and of course presents!! It was a good day. I can't believe my baby is 2 years old! We love you Sophia Michelle!! Happy Birthday!!

We are Thankful!

Thanksgiving was spent this year at my in laws house and then to my dads house. It worked out well. My in laws ate early so by the time we got out to my dad's house we were ready for round two. My mom decided to have her Thanksgiving on Sunday which made it really nice for everyone. It was so nice not to be rushing from house to house. We were able to take our time and spend some quality time with one another. We are thankful and blessed everyday. We are healthy and most of all happy! We are thankful for God's love and our family and friends. We are also thankful for the roof over our head and our jobs. There is so much to be thankful for I could go on and on! Olivia Party

I decided to have an Olivia themed party for my daughter's 2nd birthday. She has loved Olivia for a long time now so I thought it would be the perfect party. I bought the decorations off Etsy and some off of celebration express. I really was happy with how it all turned out. A girlfriend of mine made the amazing cookies and cake. The banners, signs, and water bottle labels were all purchased off Etsy; as well as her shirt. I did a little candy bar for the kids with all red and pink candy. I found some Olivia stickers on Ebay to put on the bottom of kisses. Olivia was everywhere! Sophia had a great time. She didn't quite get how to pull the sting on the pinata but the bigger kids had no problem breaking it open! All in all it was a great party with fantastic family and friends!

Halloween

We had so much fun this Halloween. Sophia really enjoyed herself. It was a little bit of a battle putting on her costume but in the end she gave in! There was supposed to be antenna in her hair but that was not going to happen. We were the bee family. Mike's shirt said honey bee and my shirt said queen bee. She was a little shy and nervous about going up to people's houses and saying tick or treat. We went trick or treating in my sisters neighborhood. There really was not too many kids out this year. Which was a good thing because we got handfuls of candy from each house!

This year we went to Tanaka Farms in Irvine to pick pumpkins. We went with my sister's family. We had a great time. It was the perfect place to take some fall photos! Sophia loved it. She really is enjoying this time of year. It is a lot of fun to see her grow and love the fall as much as I do!

Anyone who knows me knows I love, love, love butter! And of course so does Sophia. She will point to the fridge tell me "open" and then go in and pull out the butter. Really? Poor thing she thinks I Can't Believe it Not Butter is the real thing. If she only knew!!! From time to time I still will stick my finger in the butter. Totally grosses Mike out! But both me and Soph love our butter!!

Oak Glen

This past weekend we went to Oak Glen to pick apples. Unfortunately there were no apples to be picked so we picked raspberries. We had a great time! Sophia experienced corn on the cob and roast beef sandwiches. Here a few shots from our day. I kind of took a million because even though is was very HOT there was a lot of beautiful scenery.

Fresh Vegetables

My dad has a huge backyard and grows so many different fruits and vegetables. Sophia loves to explore and dig in the dirt. We were sent home with a huge box of vegetables and bags of small cherry and heirloom tomatoes. They were so good and sweet. Sophia really enjoyed them! My dad and step mom even jarred the tomatoes and some peaches. That just shows how much they harvested this year! Yumo!!

We went to the Long Beach Aquarium a few weeks ago. Sophia loved it! She really enjoyed touching the water and all the different creatures! This little girl has no fear. She was ready to jump in and swim with the sting rays! It was really nice too because they had summer hours and were open later and it was at a discounted price! Very cool.

We went down to Newport for a few days a couple weeks ago and stayed with Mike's family. One day we went to San Juan Capistrano and the second day we went to the Saw Dust Festival. We also spent an afternoon at the beach. Sophia loved it! So here are few pictures of the petting zoo. And just hanging out with family! Sophia loves to play with her cousins Lauren and Lindsey. And she likes to give Kyle the stink eye! They were a big help on vacation. They were happy to keep her entertained and chase after her.

Palm Springs

We went to Palm Springs a few weeks ago with my parents and my sister's family. We were only there for 2 days and that was more than enough time in 110 degree weather! There is not too much to do but we did find a children's museum with lots to do. Sophia really liked running around and being free to touch and explore. We also spent some time in the pool to try to keep cool. Sophia enjoyed spending time with her cousins as well. Unfortunately I did not get any picture of them, I guess we were too busy having fun! At night we went to down town Palm Springs with my parents and enjoyed the street fair and some ice cream. On the way home we stopped at the dinosaur exhibit. Mike could not believe that I had never been there, so of course we had to stop and take pictures!!

Nice butt cheek!

Sophia loves loves loves swimming. She says swim mim ming! So cute! She has gotten really good too. She can hold on the the wall by herself and climb out of the pool. She knows to wait until I count to three before jumping in. She can blow bubble and goes under water without crying. We pretty much take lessons all summer long. It is inexpensive and gives us something to do two morning out of the week. And if we are not swimming at out lessons we are at grandma's and papa's house swimming with cousins. We just love summer! Sophia is working on a nice little tan and mama tries not to burn! Mike was able to go with us this week and act as my photographer! Thanks dada for the great pictures. Next time you are getting in the water!

Summer Fun

My sister and I have been trying to get together once a week with the kids and do something fun. A few weeks ago we went to Irvine Railroad Park. It was super inexpensive and a lot of fun. We road the train and went to the zoo. It was just enough to tire the kids out! I just love summer and I love that my sister is off to do things with. We also went to Splash in La Mirada a few weeks ago and again had a great time. My sister took a camera and got some totally cute pictures. Take a look at her blog just watching my garden grow. Someone caught skinny dipping! At least it wasn't dada!

This 4th of July we went to my sisters annual party and then finished up the day at Grandma's and Papa's house. Sophia enjoyed playing in the Michael's backyard with her cousins and swimming with dada in the buff! She really is a water baby! We tried to stay for the firework show but Sophia kept saying "No, no" when a firework would go off. Maybe next year she will be more into the fireworks.

Father's day was last weekend and we had a weekend full of family time together. Sophia just loves her daddy. She loves when he chases her around the house and when he gives her raspberries on her tummy. And Mike is amazing with her! They love to cuddle and watch cartoons together. We have a problem!! And I pretty sure it is my fault. Sophia loves shoes and mama loves to buy them. Her favorite pair are Yo Gabba Gabba vans. She is already on her second pair. She will go in her shoe bin bring me a shoe, have me put it on then go back and find the matching shoe. Amazing I know!!! This morning she wanted to wear her shoe while eating breakfast. She also loves all her sandals , she likes to stomp around in them. I think I have created a monster!

What a special day Easter was this year. We started our day at church. Where there was a lot of singing and rejoicing in the Lord. Then went to Mike's parents house for wonderful lunch and Easter baskets for the kids. And then back home for a little nap. Then to my Mom and John's house for and Easter egg hunt and yummy dinner! It was a fun filled day that went by fast. Unfortunately, I couldn't make it out to my dad's house like I had wanted to. There just isn't enough hours in the day. Happy Easter everyone. My sister hosted an egg dying and egg hunting party at her house over the weekend for Easter. Sophia was not too sure about dying the eggs. Once she figured out how to place the egg in the cup she would clap her hands. So proud of herself. She also enjoys playing and running around by herself, she is a little shy and it take her some time to warm up. But once she is comfortable watch out! She really got into the Easter egg hunt. It was a fun family time! The weather was beautiful and we are thankful to the Michael's.

My mom was very ambitious and wanted to make cake pops with her grand kids. It was hilarious! Both Sophia and Iris just wanted to eat the sprinkles. Lilly was very good and wanted to decorate them by herself. It was a lot of fun! The girls are so cute together. Iris who is only about 7 months older than Sophia acts like a little mother. And Lilly loves Sophia so much she says that she is her favorite cousin! Too funny. We love making memories!!!

Since Sophia likes to be outside so much we bought her this sand box from Costco. It's pretty cool because you can put sand in one side and then water in the other side. We filled one side with rice but she stared eating it so now we have sand ;) Lets just say uncooked rice does not digest well. Totally gross!!! Anyways, I am so happy she is enjoying herself. She is too funny though, she thinks it is a pool and climbs right on in. I don't know when my baby became a toddler.

Waiting for Summer

We are just waiting for summer to come. We can't wait for warmer weather, swim class and lazy days at the beach. In the meantime we like to go the jacuzzi at Mike's parents house. Sophia went skinny dipping over the weekend and yesterday we tried one of her new summer suits. Too cute! She just loves the water. And she has no fear which is a little scary for mama and daddy.

So I am a little behind on my blog. I have two entries to do but they are on my phone and have not been downloaded yet. Anyways, a few days ago it was a warm 80 degrees outside so we wanted to enjoy the weather outside. Sophia loves bubble and is learning how to blow. So here she is attempting to blow some bubbles. Too stinking cute!! I really wish Sophia had a big back yard for her to run around in; but maybe one day. For now we have a little patio that she loves.

Sophia loves to play outside. We got her some sidewalk chalk which she was really into. We don't have a big outdoor area for her to play in but we do have enough space for her to color on the patio. I think she was really into just holding them in her hands and then dropping them. She also loves her babies. She likes to wrap them in a blanket and feed them. It is the cutest thing. Sophia is so much fun! She also has become really attached to me. Mike calls her my tail because she is always on it. I don't mind though. It won't be forever that she will want to be with me 24/7! I will take it!

Sophia loves books! She walks over to us and hands us a book to read. She also loves to pile them up in her arm chair and just look at the pictures. She is getting so big and is learning so much. Everyday there is something new she is doing or saying. Yay books! She is way more into reading than her parents are. I guess we can learn an thing or two from the baby :)

Yesterday we went to the Huntington Library. We had a good time even though it was super hot. I really got a good workout pushing the stroller up all the hills. We ended our day in the children's play area where Sophia had the best time. She really loved the water and all the different fountains. She was just walking back and forth and splashing as she went. Next time I will take off her clothes or bring a spare. She had to go home in a sweater and a diaper. Oh well it was worth it, she had a blast! The pictures are a little out of order. The bottom pictures are us entering the play area and the last picture is Sophia enjoying a little cookie before leaving.

A day at the Park

We went to Penn Park for an afternoon of fun. Sophia had so much fun, she just loves being outside where she can run free. She absolutely loved the slide and the swings. She is getting so big and is so much fun. Every stage in her life just gets better and better. She is so smart and follows directions and has a little vocabulary. She says mama, dada, banana, all done, go, bath, and bye. She also make noises for kitty and fishy. And course she has mastered two baby signs; all done and more. Too cute!

And I finished my Christmas night at work.

We spent Christmas Eve Eve at my dad's house in Chino. It was nice and cozy. We had appetizers and a nice dinner. It was fun to see the girls play together. Sophia enjoyed roaming all over the house as I followed close by. We tried so hard to get a picture of all three girls but no luck. There is still a chance on Christmas. Our house is all decorated for Christmas. I love Christmas and always have. I go crazy with the decorations. Mike said I am not allowed to bring home anymore Christmas decor. Really? We went to Nordstrom to meet Olivia. I was so excited to see how Sophia would react to see her favorite character live and in person. Sophia could not believe how big she was. She was huge! Sophia looked so tiny next to her. Of course we bought piratically every Olivia toy they had. It's going to be an Olivia Christmas this year.

Sophia's birthday party was on 11/27. It turned out really cute if I do say so myself :) The theme was apples. The apple of our eye is turning one. The party was not too big just close friends and family. I enjoyed planning her party and ordered a lot online. I was surprised how much apple stuff is out there. I got tissue pom poms from etsy as well as her apple t shirt and apple bib. My sister and I went and got apple fabric for the banners. My sister made all the banners and my apple apron. I also ordered carmel apples for the party favor. And of course the food was apple themed as well. We served apple walnut salad, apple dip, apple cider and apple juice. We got sandwiches too and of course no party would be complete without cup cakes. My girlfriend at work made them for me, she did an amazing job. All in all it was a great first birthday party for Sophia; the apple of our eye!

Yo Gabba Gabba!

Sophia had a really busy birthday week. We started her week long celebration at Disneyland. Then the day after her birthday went to the Yo Gabba Gabba live show at the Nokia theater. I know Sophia is a little young for cartoons and TV but she loves Yo Gabba Gabba. Mike and I were fortunate enough to get free tickets from our brother in law. The tickets were right in the front; three rows from the pit to be exact! We had the best time. Sophia was really into it. She was dancing with mama and Daddy and was clapping her hands. I think her favorite part was Biz's Beat. She was decked out in her Foofa shirt and of course got souvenirs. We can't wait to go next year when she is 2!

Sophia's first birthday was on Thanksgiving. In the morning I made her a cake and then we opened her presents. We then went to Mike's parents and then to my parents house. It was a fun and busy day of giving thanks and celebrating Sophia's first birthday. A year has never gone by so quickly in my life. Mike and I watched the video of her birth and of course there I was crying. Such an amazing experience and an incredible little girl to be blessed with. Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Birthday Sophia!

I was so excited to get Disneyland passes. I have been waiting for Sophia to be a little bit older and finally it was the right time. We went the Saturday before Halloween so it was really crowed but we still had a good time. We were able to go on Winnie the Pooh and The Nightmare Before Christmas. Sophia did really well; she was not afraid. She enjoyed a pretzel and was kicking her legs the whole time in the stroller. We can't wait to go back again.

And on Halloween we went to my sister's house and went trick or treating. Sophia had a good time with all the other kids and did not cry or try to take off her hat. The Patch

Last weekend we went to a local pumpkin patch in Brea. I am sure we will go to another one before the season is over! We had a good time with Mike's family. I was sort of bummed because is was like 100 degrees and not very fall like. Sophia liked all the pumpkins and feeding the goats with her daddy. We came home with one big pumpkin and about four little ones.

Today Sophia and I went to visit my dad and Sandy out in Chino. My dad grew these amazing pumpkins and wanted to make sure Sophia got one. Some of the pumpkins were even bigger than her. I took tons of pictures! Not only does my dad grow pumpkins but he also grew egg plant, tomatoes, corn, carrots, peppers, and more. he really has a green thumb. We took home a pumpkin, carrots, and some lemons which are also home grown. We had a nice morning and made it home just in time for Sophia's afternoon nap! These will be the first pumpkin pictures of the season, there will be many more to follow.

Today Mike came home with a Fisher Price Rock& Ride bike for Sophia. Mike is too funny; he just loves buying toys for her. Our house is just exploding, it looks like Toys R US in here. Of course Sophia was all into building it with him while overseeing the project. We took her for a spin inside to make sure she could sit up and hold on before going outside. She did great! She even put her feet on the foot rest. She had the biggest smile when Mike was pushing her around. I can't believe how big and smart she is getting. She is a little sponge! These past 10 months have really flown by.

I was so excited when Sophia started to take a bath in our tub. She really enjoys bath time and all her bath toys. She loves to pull up on everything. She splashes like crazy and even will put her mouth in the water. I can barely get her to sit down! She definately has her daddy's butt!

Peek a Boo

Sophia is loving "peek a boo" right now! She enjoys hiding behind the curtains and then popping out. She does it with her blankets too. Sophia can sit there for minutes playing and hiding from her mama. And I say minutes because that is all about all she can last. Such a short attention span. Seal Beach

A few weeks ago Sophia and I went to Seal Beach with my sister's family. We had a good time. The weather was beautiful and it wasn't too crowded. We had pizza on Main street and walked down to the pier. And of course we could not leave without a stop to this little bakery for a red velvet sandwich with cream cheese frosting! Yum my favorite! I was so glad a I brought my camera and so was Michelle. We got some great shots of her family and Sophia with her cousins.

Sophia is officially on the move. I swear it happened over night. She is getting so fast. She loves to crawl to the dog and attempt to crawl on her bed. The dog moves out of her way every time. She even chases her outside. Poor Holly, she has no idea that her little dog life is about to change even more than it already has. Sophia already knows how to take the books off the shelf and chew the covers. Really baby girl who taught you that? Mike and I were really looking forward to her crawling, but not so much anymore. Just kidding! We are excited that she is discovering new things everyday. She is constantly going and wants what she can't have. Our lives will never be the same!

Long Beach Aquarium

We took Sophia to the Long Beach Aquarium last week. She was really into it. Mike got her a 10 gallon fish tank at home and she loves to look at it and touch the glass. Sophia was in heaven with the huge fish tanks and all the beautiful colored fish. I love doing family day trips. So much fun!

This year we went with Mike's family to a beautiful beach house in Ventura. We had a lot of fun. We went to the Regan Library, the Santa Barbara Zoo, and of course the beach. She really liked the beach; she would pick up the sand and let it fall through her fingers. Sophia was a trooper. She would take her naps in the car on the way there and by the time we reached our destination she was ready to go. She has become such a good baby. She even caught her first cold and she was still in a good mood!

Funny Faces!

Sophia has just started to make all these funny faces. She loves when daddy acts silly while reading her favorite book, "Don't Bite Your Friends". It is of course a Yo Gabba Gabba book that her Auntie Michelle bought her. She just loves it!

I love these pictures of Sophia on the scale. They turned out so cute and she really likes to sit on it. She likes to see the numbers light up. She is getting so big. I am not sure how accurate the scale is but she certainly feels like she weighs 17.5 pounds!

Tooth!

Sophia got her first tooth on 7/3. I was excited that she finally got a tooth and a little sad that she is growing up so fast. I have been trying to get a picture of her tooth but has been very difficult. Those of you that know Sophia knows that you pretty much have to stand on your head to get a huge smile out of her. When I finally got a picture I was so excited and just had to share it with everybody! Look real hard it is on the bottom right (her right) Make sure you click on the picture to get a good look ;)

4th of July!

We had a great 4th of July celebration! It started out with baking cupcakes in the morning. Then we went to my sister's house for a BBQ, And ended up at Mike's parents house for a few backyard fireworks. Sophia was a trooper. She had a long day but handled herself like a lady :)

7 Months!

About a week ago Sophia turned 7 months! I really can not believe how fast the time has gone! She is so good now. She is sleeping through the night and taking 2-3 45min naps throughout the day. She eats like a champ. Her favorite foods are sweet potato and bananas. She also is loving her baby Einstein saucer. She really is a joy and is getting so big and is so much fun. I really think 6 and 7 months are my favorite. She also talks a lot and her favorite song is Meet Me Halfway by the Black Eyed Peas! I know too funny but it is true. All I have to do is blast that song and she immediately calms down and will eventually fall asleep. And she is still loving her 80's music! I am looking forward to her growing and changing I just wish she would slow down a little, I can't keep up!

Mommy and Me Swim!

I was very excited to start mommy and me swim classes with Sophia. I really want her to love the water and not be afraid. The first class she was a little unsure but did not cry, she was just taking it all in. And by the second class she was kicking her feet and slapping her hands on the water. I even put her under water! I was more upset about it then she was. She is my little fish. I can't wait to swim in Grandma and Papa's pool this summer! I am thinking about continuing the classes through the summer, she likes it and I like it so why not!

Daddy's Day

This is what it is all about! I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family. Everyday I am thankful for an amazing husband and an adorable baby. Mike had a great Father's day. Sophia is getting so big and is so much fun. And she just loves her daddy, she will smile at him and laugh out loud at him. Mike swears she is already saying Dada, too cute!

Mama's Birthday

Another year has quickly gone by. My birthday was this past Sunday, I am officially 31 years old. I had a very nice weekend with friends and family. On Saturday my friend Caroline hosted a tea/massage party. It was just beautiful and very relaxing. And on Sunday my mom made a taco dinner. The Michael's were all there in attendance. It is fun to see our family growing. I was really spoiled this year for my birthday. I got a Tiffany key necklace from Mike and Sophia. As well as many other gifts. Thanks to everyone for making my birthday so special.

Memorial Day

Mike's parent have a pool so what better day to introduce the baby to the water than Memorial Day! She only went into the spa but she had a good time. It was nice and warm like bath water! And their pool is salt water which is really nice. Sophia had a good time slashing and relaxing with her parents and cousins.

6 months!

I can not believe my baby is 6 months! I barely remember my life without her. She is so special and she really is the light of my life. She just started eating baby food. I thought she would like eating but I was wrong. I have tried the veggies and she just makes the worst face I feel so bad. She babbles and laughs out loud. She is a serious little baby but so are her parents! She is a lot like me I can already tell. I don't know if that is a good thing or not. She still is not sleeping through the night she wakes up once to nurse. I don't mind, I love our time together. I could go on and on about her...Happy Half Birthday Baby!

Tea Time

Yesterday we went to the Huntington Library. We went with my good friends Caroline, Margaret, and Rachel. Sophia is just one of the girls now! We enjoyed tea and bite sized sandwiches at the Rose Garden Cafe. The gardens were beautiful. It was a gloomy day but that did not stop us from walking all over. The gardens are huge, I put a lot of miles on the stroller yesterday. My favorite part of the Huntington Library was the childrens garden. It was full of little houses and tunnels and full of flowers. It was so cute. We had a really good time and can't wait to go back with daddy next time.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day! I am so excited to finally be a mom. What a special day it has been. We went to a nice breakfast at Pomona Mining Co with my in law's and went to my mom's house to enjoy strawberry short cake. I never imagined how much having a baby would change my life. What a true blessing Sophia is. I love her so much and just writing this brings a tear to my eye. I know super cheesy, but it is true. I now have a new respect and appriciation for my mom. It is a love like no other. Thank you mom for everything, you are the best. And thank you Sophia for making me a mom!

Mirror, mirror on the wall....

So Sophia likes to look at herself in the mirror, wonder where she gets that from? It is the cutest thing ever! She likes to look in the mirror at herself and then back at me. She also enjoys touching the mirror with her hands. Even if we walk by a mirror I notice her head turn to see herself.I hope we have not created a little princess! But if we have, I guess it's okay.

Sophia's Dediction

Yesterday was Sophia's dedication. Pastor Ignacio came to my in laws house to preform a private ceremony. It was so special to have our family and closest friends there. Like Pastor Ignacio said it is the parents who are promising to raise their child knowing and loving God. What a responsibilty! We know how to as parents provide for our kids and teach them right from wrong but to raise them as the Lord would want and expect you too is huge. I know it will be a daily struggle as Sophia grows but our faith is in the Lord to help us be good parents. Sophia is such a wonderful blessing. She is healthy and happy and I thank God everyday. After a long pregnancy of uncertainty, I could not have asked for a better outcome, my baby Sophia!. Mama loves you and God Bless you!

What a difference a week makes! Sophia is napping in her crib now and sleeping almost through the night. She is getting so big and so smart. We just love her so much. She rolls over, talks and coos, knows her name, finds her feet and love love loves DJ Lance from Yo Gabba Gabba! She is too funny.
